(0608ADB) ## Location The hotel is very well-located, in a lively district of the 1st arrondissement and close to the Louvre,Palais Royal and Les Halles , and Jardin des Tuileries. Walking distance to the subway station, it's only a few minutes walk to Opera, centrally located and very close to shops and restaurants. ## Distance 30 kms to the airport (paris-charles de gaulle airport) 20 kms to the airport (herndon) 3 minute walk to the nearest metro station (palais royal/musee du louvre) 6 km to the nearest station (gare du nord) 15 km to the nearest fair site (porte de versailles) ## Rooms The rooms are large by Parisian standards, and very well-decorated, either in blue or red colors, and very charming. Each room has a small sitting area or desk. The rooms are very well-equipped, and the windows are soundproofed; some rooms view the Palais Royal. The marble bathrooms are held in light colors, and all have bathtubs. On the 6th floor, there is also a terrace. ## Restaurant The breakfast room is under the reception, but even downstairs there is natural light coming inside. The furniture is dark, but the light-painted walls make a friendly atmosphere. There is also a small bar, where drinks can be taken any time. ## Exterior This is a historical, 6-floor building, with a beautiful facade, reminiscent of Louis XV. The hotel used to be owned by Madame de Pompadour. ## Lobby The lobby is medium-size, held in very light pastel colors. On the right-hand side, there is a large sitting area, with a fireplace thath gives a cozy and familiar atmosphere. Nicely decorated, with little details like fresh flowers makes guests feel welcome.
