Built in 1899 by the architect Emilio Salas y Cortes, whose most famous pupil was Antonio Gaudí, the building of the Catalonia Duques de Bergara is exemplary of Art Nouveau architecture.

Renovated to be used as a hotel in 1988, and expanded a few years later, Catalonia Duques de Bergara has 149 light rooms, with parquet floors and contemporary wooden furniture.
